The Windhover Writers' Festival
February 19-21, 2025
The Windhover Writers’ Festival is hosted by the literary journal The Windhover at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton, Texas. In February the festival brings in featured presenters in multiple genres to give readings and lead workshops. Our goal is to create a space where writers of all levels can integrate their Christian faith into carefully crafted work, find encouragement, and elevate their writing. In addition to the main events, the festival also features panels comprised of local, regional, and national writers sharing their poetry, fiction, nonfiction.
New to 2025, the festival will be larger and include craft talks, pedagogy and academic panels, exhibitors, breaks with refreshments, and more. Lunches and refreshments are included in the registration. This next festival will be bigger than ever. In fact here are several things new to the festival in 2025:
- Exhibitor Hall
- Craft Talks
- Craft Feedback Workshops*
- More Panels
- More people!
The arrangement of the festival benefits writers of all levels as they hear and see published author’s expertise on display in the main events, interact with the featured presenters in workshops, and network with fellow writers, editors, and publishers.
Be sure to follow and The Windhover Twitter feed for information about the festival and the journal.
