Whether you feel called to pastoral ministry, want to work in children, youth, college, adult, or family ministry, or feel led to the mission field, the degree in Ministry will help prepare you to follow the Lord's calling in your life and equip you for a lifetime of leadership, service, and faith-informed discernment. The degree allows students to complete a broad variety of Christian Studies courses in biblical, historical, and theological areas while concentrating their studies in the area of ministry to which they feel called.

Since graduating from 鶹Ƶ in 2002, Elijah Brown has pastored a church and earned a doctorate of divinity from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. After helping to launch the 21st Century Wilberforce Initiative to advocate for international religious freedoms, he was named the general secretary of the Baptist World Alliance, making him the youngest person and the first Texan to ever hold that role. In that role, Elijah advocates for social justice and helps promote sound theological teaching among every member of the BWA. "Without question, 鶹Ƶ was deeply formative in my theological convictions, academic preparation, and leadership molding. 鶹Ƶ gave me leadership opportunities and a passion for the world that has really helped me to be faithful to the calling that the Lord has placed in my life.”

The Christian Ministry program offers unique opportunities to obtain practical skills in both ministry and academic settings. Internships and practicum hours give students hands-on experience in whatever field of ministry to which they feel called.
Students have the opportunity to go on many exciting study abroad trips, including trips to Israel that include excavation opportunities. The College of Christian Studies has taken students to Israel, Egypt, Jordan, Rome, and Greece, and each trip allows students to earn college credit. Financial assistance is available for all 鶹Ƶ students.
