Dr. Williamson is currently an assistant professor in the DPT program. She originally joined Â鶹ÊÓƵ as an adjunct faculty member in Fall 2019 after graduating as a member of the second Â鶹ÊÓƵ DPT cohort in 2018. She transitioned into full-time teaching at Â鶹ÊÓƵ in Spring 2023 but taught undergraduate anatomy and physiology courses for 14 years prior to that. As a DPT, Dr. Williamson worked in a mixed population, private outpatient facility where she treated a diverse patient population including those with orthopedic, pediatric, geriatric, and pelvic floor issues. To better meet her patients’ needs, she has certifications in dry needling, myofascial release, instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization, spinal manipulation, LSVT BIG for Parkinson Disease, and pelvic floor therapy.
In addition to academic and clinical work, Dr. Williamson continues to publish several undergraduate college textbooks and is a reviewer for multiple peer-reviewed journals. She has been a member of the Sports and Orthopedic sections in the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and the Texas Physical Therapy Association (TPTA) since 2016. She is also a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), the Human Anatomy & Physiology Society (HAPS), and the Textbook Authors Association (TAA).
Dr. Williamson worships at Grace Bible Church in Killeen, TX.
