Dr. Kuester joined the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Faculty in 2022 after serving as a Research Assistant Professor at Virginia Tech for the previous six years. He earned his Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from Texas A&M University in 2014. Dr. Kuester has research interests in the fields of renewable energy, aerodynamics, boundary layer stability/transition, and engineering education. His current research focuses on the effect of small-amplitude surface roughness on the growth of disturbance waves in low-speed boundary layers, with applications in wind energy and aeronautics. In addition to his work at Â鶹ÊÓƵ, Dr. Kuester enjoys spending time with his wife and son, visiting family, jogging, solving math puzzles, and trying new restaurants. Dr. Kuester is a member of Light of Christ Anglican Church in Georgetown, TX.
