From the time she was 5 years old, Bethany Fitzwater started performing in the 鶹Ƶ Easter Pageant — first, running around as a child in the crowd, and then for the next five years playing the role of the “dead girl” in the unforgettable scene where Jesus raises a lifeless child above his head toward Heaven, and then she drops into his arms once again full of life.
This past semester, when Bethany was in her freshman year at 鶹Ƶ, it only seemed apropos for her to once again participate in the pageant. In a duet with her father, Mark Fitzwater ’89, the pair sang “In the Name of the Lord,” the first song in this year’s 82nd production.
