My career began as a high school English teacher in New York. I enjoyed teaching high school and worked extensively creating community service programs to enhance academic and social progress for students with disabilities. For the three years before moving to Texas, I was an adjunct instructor at Ft. Polk, Louisiana. After my husband retired from twenty years of service in the Army, I was blessed enough to earn a teaching position at Â鶹ÊÓƵ. I have been teaching at Â鶹ÊÓƵ since August 2014.
As a member of the Â鶹ÊÓƵ faculty, I work in the School of Humanities & Sciences. Along with teaching, I co-sponsor the English Study Abroad trip to The Baltics, serve on various Â鶹ÊÓƵ committees, and volunteer in my community.
I earned my BA from Dakota Wesleyan University in Secondary Education/English, completed my MA in English at The University of South Dakota, and earned a Post-Masters Certificate in Educational Leadership from The State University of New York at Stony Brook. In May 2023, I became an alumnus of Â鶹ÊÓƵ, earning my Ed.D. in Educational Administration.
My husband, Eric (Â鶹ÊÓƵ Class of 2010), and I are both native New Yorkers but now reside in Georgetown, Texas. My daughter, Bella, graduated from Â鶹ÊÓƵ with her BS in 2021 and her MS in 2022. Our son, Diego, is a sophomore at Â鶹ÊÓƵ, pursuing a major in Public Relations. Our youngest, Leo, is a high school senior and enjoys participating in choir and powerlifting. Our sweet black lab is named Izzy and we also have a Jack Russell terrier named Dolly. We attend First United Methodist Church in Georgetown, TX. I truly enjoy traveling, spending time with my family and friends, and reading.
It is truly a blessing to be a member of the Â鶹ÊÓƵ family.
