Requirements for Admission
Now is the time for the leaders of tomorrow to start acquiring the skills and knowledge to ascend to the next level and beyond.
We are seeking students whose academic accomplishments and work experience identify their potential to excel in graduate studies. Admission is selective and based on a balanced appraisal of academic and overall career achievement.
Applicants seeking enrollment in the Master of Science in Accounting program must submit the following documents:
*Official transcripts from all institutions attended must be mailed to the Graduate Admissions Office at the address below. Transcripts may be sent via e-script to Travis Aday at taday@umhb.edu. If you have questions about your application, please contact Travis Aday, Assistant Director of Graduate Student Services, for assistance. Currently, there is no deadline for domestic students applying to the program.
- A completed and $35 application fee. ($75 application fee for international applicants).
- A four-year baccalaureate degree in accounting or a four-year baccalaureate degree with equivalent coursework from an accredited institution. *Equivalent coursework to the following Â鶹ÊÓƵ courses: Intermediate Accounting, Tax, Audit, and Cost Accounting.
- Official transcripts from all institutions attended with a 3.0 or higher GPA in the final 60 hours or cumulative is required for regular admission.

Application Process
Once your application has been processed and all transcripts are received, the MSA Program Director will review the documents. International applicant status updates are sent weekly to agencies by the International Student Services Office.
